What is Basic Parachute Training?

The solo skydiving training is also known as PFF (Progressive Free Fall),  AFF (Accerelated Free Fall) or simply SOLO skydiving training. This learning method makes you discover the world of freefall. If you have successfully completed a tandem skydiving jump or a DAI (Instructor Assisted Deployment) jump, you are eligible for this training program.

The skydiving training at Parachutisme Adrenaline Trois-Rivières

Your training as a skydiver starts with a complete theoretical course lasting about 4 hours and 20 minutes of free fall simulator. Theoretical courses are given in Trois-Rivières, Victoriaville or sometimes in Laval Directly at SkyVenture.

All instructor jumps of your training will be filmed so that you can understand your movements and correct your mistakes.

Your first skydiving jump will be with two skydiving instructors to ensure the stability of your position. The next 4 jumps will be done with one instructor to teach you maneuvers, supervise you and correct your movements.

After these 5 levels, you will perform your first solo skydiving jump. At the very end of your training, an instructor cameraman will jump with you to film your practice exam.

During your training you will learn how to maintain the skydiver’s position in freefall, watch and read the altimeter and open and control your parachute to the ground. You will also learn to make turns, complete turns and exits of aircraft in instability (dives or saltos).

PFF training includes:

14 minutes of freefall simulator

3

Skydiver starter kit (including jump book, glasses, etc.)

4
